HAWAIIAN AIRLINES AIRBUS A321NEO

Hawaiian Airlines announced the signing of a MoU with Airbus to acquire 16 new A321neos between 2017 and 2020, with rights to purchase an additional nine aircraft.  This deal has been percolating for months.  The A321neo will seat approximately 190 passengers in a two-class configuration (First and Coach) and has a range of 3,650 nautical miles. The aircraft will offer the more comfortable seat widths found in the twin-aisle A330. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, however, the aircraft have a total list-price value of approximately $2.8 billion if all of the purchase rights are exercised.

  1. 16 A321, that’s two weeks of production these days.. Still an important order from an old, demanding and high profile operator.

  2. Keesje: 3 billion$ here and there and pretty soon you’re talking serious money 😉

  3. Hmm, they could do the icelandair model: all east and west bound planes arrive within the same hour, eveyone switches planes and all leave again. Or free stop over in hawaii for a day or two.
